Buckinghamshire Hotel Wedding Venues

In this series of venues local to where Your Wedding Friend is based, we've reached Buckinghamshire. Below you'll hear about some of my favourite Bucks wedding venues who have something special to offer couples looking for the perfect wedding day location.

One of the longest counties in the UK, Buckinghamshire covers quite a large area north of London, so if you're looking for a Bucks wedding venue be prepared to travel. Fortunately, I've been to some of the best venues in this county and for the purpose of this blog I'm focussing just on the hotel wedding venues. They all fall into the more expensive end of the market but when you see them you can understand why.

Chicheley Hall

Towards the north of the county, not too far from Milton Keynes, Chicheley Hall has the wow factor from the moment you enter the driveway. You can opt to use the mansion house or the newer nearby Wolfson Centre building. Both are licensed for civil ceremonies and can host receptions for 80 -100 people. For a larger party you can hire the magnificent grounds for a bespoke marquee or tipi. The available packages have lots to offer.
I recently wrote a full review of this venue - check out the blog link below.

Villiers Hotel

Situated in beautiful Buckingham this hotel has taken over the old town hall to present the most elegant setting for a wedding. Licensed for ceremonies and with a clever set of doors that divide the main room making it multi-purpose, they can accommodate 80 - 160 guests for a reception. It doesn't have grounds as such but you're not too far from some beautiful countryside for a quick trip if you really want a natural backdrop for your photographs.
I'll be doing a longer blog on this venue very soon.

Whittlebury Hall

The gorgeous rambling Bucks countryside surrounds this venue, allowing access for a grand entrance by helicopter if you really want one. There are several options for your wedding here and not enough time to go into all of them now. Suffice to say this stunning venue is well worth a look for medium and large weddings and packs quite the punch. Just make sure you make it clear to your guests which of the buildings you're booked into for your wedding, otherwise you might lose a few of them.

Latimer Estate

Another countryside location with beautiful grounds and a stunning old house as a backdrop. The event space is modern classical style with the most fantastic view through large windows and a door that leads out to a patio area. It has retractable room dividers making it simple to set up for your ceremony and wedding breakfast, and a separate bar area just outside the rooms for your welcome drinks. Open the dividers and you have one larger evening reception room. Very well thought out and private from the rest of the hotel.

The Bull Hotel, Gerrards Cross

This old coaching inn style venues façade hides a suite of modern function rooms. Most rooms lead out to the well-kept gardens, which make for fabulous photos with no hassle. All the spaces have low ceilings and air conditioning. Many of the spaces are also dividable making them just the right size for your small or medium guest list. This venue has a range of packages to suit many budgets. It's also fully accessible by main roads and other transport links, which is very handy.

Buckinghamshire has lots of gorgeous venues to offer, but if you need help shortlisting for your dream venue, I can offer many more ideas X
