Good morning, Vikki! Thank you for everything you have done and you made my day special. You made such an effort in organising and the overall night.Vendusa & Hashan

Wedding Planning ServicesVikki Richman Wedding Planner

So you think you might need a bit of help wedding planning but not sure what that looks like or how much help you'll need? My friendly flexible approach means that I can offer you as little or as much help wedding planning as you need whenever you need it, however far along you are in planning.

Whether you need a helping hand just to get started, want support planning a surprise, or want to make regular appointments for continued wedding planning advice and support along the way. I can also help with wedding event planning, which has more focus on your wedding ceremony and reception ideas and developing a strategy for you, and offering specific ideas and wedding suppliers that you might follow up. Wedding venue co-ordination is about helping you cut through the red tape and get the best possible deal from your venue. I will also work with your wedding suppliers and wedding venue/s to make sure all set up arrangements are in place. My final platinum offer is full wedding/event co-ordination, which includes everything from start to finish; from sourcing all wedding suppliers, through contract negotiation right up to the final clear up and making sure all your guests, gifts and suppliers leave happy.

Helping Hand - hourly fee from £30 per hour

The Helping Hand is your rent-a-friend option, not full co-ordination, more like something you might have tasked a maid of honour with or a best man. Maybe you've been let down by friends/family who said they'd be available to help with the wedding planning but somehow they're not available when you need them. I can help on things like a DIY wedding project that needs to be finished, or practical support on the your wedding day so that you can just relax and enjoy yourself. Things like setting up tables, chairs, chair covers or decorations at the venue, if they've said they won't do that for you.

This service is perfect if you just need a few hours of assistance, ie to help get your wedding planning started, what to prioritise, an idea of what suppliers are out there... whatever you're most fretful about.

What happens?
We'll meet for an initial wedding consultation where we'll discuss your ideas and needs, and breakdown what you should prioritise. A report will be provided based on our discussion, it is then up to you how you proceed whether that is a follow up meeting or chat, selecting from one of my ongoing wedding planning services, or if you can continue on your own that is also fine, I'm still here if you need me later on.

Wedding Planning Advice and Support monthly retainer from £30 per month, depending on number of hours required each month

For nervous brides and grooms ongoing regular Wedding Planning Advice and Support offer could be ideal for you. This is aimed at the couple who may know the where and when but are stuck on the finer details. Maybe you've been going along okay but had so much advice you just need an unbiased mind to bounce ideas off and help you to make practical steps towards your wedding planning. Perhaps your support network are not as supportive as you'd hoped and you need a friend to come and help with negotiations, decisions, etc. Everything offered in the Helping Hand option is also available this way. I can get you started and catch up with you regularly to go over what you've achieved so far and what is still to be done. Also if there's something specific I can do for you like a big surprise you need help with planning or just to do the guest list chasing that you've not had time for.

You might not know right now what you need help with but just need the reassurance that I am available to help as required. That is what I'm here for.

What happens?
We meet for an initial wedding planning consultation where we discuss your ideas and figure out what your needs are, then we get together monthly (or more often if preferred) to go over your wedding plan and see what needs to be done. A report is prepared after our first consultation and regular dates set to go over the wedding plan, which can be tweaked as needed. After the initial consultation, subsequent advice-only catch ups can be by phone, video chat or in person as preferred. For support on practical details, in-person catch ups will be necessary and this can include visits to wedding venues or suppliers as required.

Wedding Event Planning - minimum 8 hours contracted work from £500

Closer to what a traditional wedding planner does, this offer is primarily aimed at those that need a significant amount of wedding advice and support along the whole planning process and includes more emphasis on what I can do for you between our meetings. Together we develop a strategy of what needs to be done; from sourcing wedding suppliers and short-listing reception venues, you tell me what you're looking for and I come up with options for you to consider. I will negotiate the best possible deals and contracts with suppliers on your behalf but at the end of the day it's your wedding your way. From the beginning we set the guidelines on what areas you need me to look after and I will prompt you on the areas you are doing so that we are in sync throughout the planning process. The more areas you want me to look after the higher the price for this service. What this offers is a flexible approach and a fee that matches most budgets whilst still having me available to guide and advise where needed; like having a second set of eyes on the to-do list. This service is purely consultation, wedding planning, and vendor contracting so if full event management is required the next level of service will be necessary.

What happens?
A report is created following our first meeting, which details all the areas of wedding planning that are required and who will be doing them. This will identify what areas of research and advice are required and give us a work plan with time scales for completion. Regular updates will be required, which can be done in person or by phone, email, or video chat as preferred. At least one meeting will take place at your chosen wedding venue/s (where-ever possible) to ensure that all risks, access and delivery issues are made clear in advance, and included in the work plan as required. There is no hands-on element to this offer unless by negotiation.

Together we develop a strategy of what needs to be done; from sourcing wedding suppliers and short-listing reception venues, you tell me what you're looking for and I come up with options for you to consider.

Wedding Venue Co-ordination - from 15 hours contracted work from £750

Like the Wedding Event Planning offer but focussed primarily on working with you at venues that don't provide a wedding co-ordinator/catering manager and therefore will need a more hands-on approach. I will work with you to find your ideal location and get the best possible deal from your chosen wedding venue/s. Together we'll work through all the red tape and specific requirements of that venue to ensure that your suppliers and guests are given everything they need to ensure the smooth running of your wedding day. If you have multiple venues for your big day I will co-ordinate between them to ensure that everything is set up at each site and that suppliers are sent to the right venue. If set ups are required either the day before or on the day I will manage or assist where required (NB additional costs will be incurred for any site work outside of the Herts, Beds, Bucks area).

What happens?
A report is created after our first meeting, which details your wedding venue requirements and what research is needed. Once a wedding venue is selected we will meet with them on-site (where possible) to discuss logistics and details for access to spaces, delivery and storage, etc. As other suppliers and arrangements are made, contact details will be shared and I will collate all necessary supplier paperwork including insurance certificates and risk assessments, which I will then share with the wedding venue. I will perform my own risk assessment of the venue, or ask them to complete my questionnaire if they are outside of the Herts, Beds, Bucks area. On the day co-ordination will be by agreement in advance based on your budget.

Together we'll work through all the red tape and specific requirements of that venue to ensure that your suppliers and guests are given everything they need to ensure the smooth running of your wedding day.

Full Wedding/Event Co-ordination - minimum of 25 hours from £1,500

From first wedding planning consultation to final clear up I will be with you every step of the way. I will help you as much or as little as you need right through to the last guest leaving. I will help you source and select suppliers and venues, negotiate contracts, arrange final details and set up. I can help you get best value deals on hotel rooms for guests, arrange transport to and from hotels, make sure guests and gifts all leave the venue and make it to their right destination. Basically we'll work together to make everything on your wedding day is as easy as possible from I Do to goodnight. Elements of all the above levels are included as required but as hands-on as you need. On the day wedding co-ordination can include my taking on announcements and arranging line ups for photos and receiving lines.

But full wedding co-ordination doesn't mean you have to have me on full master of ceremonies, it can also mean fairy godmother quietly weaving her magic in the background leaving you and your guests to enjoy yourselves, safe in the knowledge that everything is under control. I can also act as confidante and co-conspirator for any special surprise you might have in mind.

What happens?
At our first wedding consultation we will talk in general terms about your ideas and aspirations, we'll work through what elements you need and what you don't want. A report will be created outlining what areas of research are required and what wedding co-ordination you want me to do for you, as well as what you want to do yourself. The report will give you a draft idea of what the cost will be. We will work together on your budget and wedding supplier requirements and I will negotiate terms for your contracts with them. I will collate all necessary supplier paperwork including insurance certificates and risk assessments, which I will then share with the venue. I will perform my own risk assessment of the venue, or ask them to complete my questionnaire if they are outside of the Herts, Beds, Bucks area. On the day co-ordination will be by agreement in advance based on your budget.

So that's it. All you need to do right now is make the decision to call or leave me a message, we can figure out everything else when we meet for our consultation.
